Playland Not at the Beach

We have over 30 pinball machines spanning seven decades, video games, Penny Arcade machines, and challenging carnival games of skill all here waiting to entertain and amuse you!

Coney Island Pinball Museum features an incredible selection of baggatelles, woodrails, mechanical and electro-mechanical pinball machines dating from the 1930s to the 1970s. Marvel playing "3 Ring Circus", "Goofy", "Cinderella" (with 6 backwards flippers), "World Fair", "Gigi" and many other favorites.

This weekend, Playland-Not-at-the-Beach is proud to present Fabulous Frank . Frank will perform his brilliantly funny magic. Frank originally assisted magicians and when one of our in-house magicians became ill, Frank took over. Now we can't stop him. This guy is really funny.

Golden State Model Railroad Museum

A visit to our 10,000 square foot Museum of operating model trains provides an inexpensive, fun-filled outing for young and old, with plenty of room for youngsters to stretch their legs and expend energy as they follow trains along the 200+ feet of public walkway.

The Museum is located at 900-A Dornan Drive in the community of Point Richmond, CA 94801 (San Francisco Bay Area). Our highly-detailed model train layouts represent prototypical scenery in Northern and Central California. We run both freight and passenger trains typical of the steam era through modern day diesels. Our three main modeling scales are O scale (1:48), HO scale (1:87) and N scale (1:160).

We have clean restrooms with handicap-access, a small picnic area and gift shop with modestly-priced railroad-related items for sale. Looking for a souvenir? Our N-scale 70th Anniversary boxcar can be ordered through the mail. So can our Museum logo Lapel Pin . Our gift shop accepts personal checks and Visa/Master Card credit cards. Cash is good too!

We run trains every Sunday, April through December, from noon to 5pm. We are also open on Wednesdays (11 a.m. - 3 p.m.) and Saturdays (noon to 5 p.m.) for viewing the displays, but no trains will be running. We are closed Christmas Eve/Day and New Years Eve when those fall on regular open days. From Marin, the Museum is conveniently accessible near the east end of the Richmond-San Rafel bridge. From the East Bay, take I-580 from I-80 or Richmond Parkway for a direct route.
